Why use Speed CPSETM ? |
---|
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most common prostate diseases in dogs(1); it is characterised by proliferation (hyperplasia) and increased size (hypertrophy) of prostatic cells. Such structural changes result in elevated blood levels of Canine Prostate-Specific Esterase (CPSE), an enzyme secreted by the prostate. |
When to use Speed CPSETM ? |
---|
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a disease that can occur spontaneously in male dogs from 3 years and the risk increases with age. It affects about 80% of males over 5 years of age, which makes it the most common prostate disease in dogs(1). CPSE levels are high in 97% of BPH cases. (2) Speed CPSETM now enables regular screening in dogs even in the absence of symptoms to prevent and anticipate the risk of BPH. |
